The 55,000 SF Adirondack Club fills a need in the Franklin, Mass. community, where the growing family population lacked a recreational facility. As the general contractor for the site development and clubhouse construction, Kaplan oversaw extensive coordination to construct the main clubhouse, which combined three distinct structural components. Kaplan also strategized with the client to develop a phased construction schedule that worked with available funding. The tennis courts were installed first, allowing the client to attract tennis memberships and develop interest in the club. The revenue that was generated was essential to keep the clubhouse pool construction on schedule for a critical Memorial Day opening.
