This private, non-profit organization serves more than 100 communities and 24,000 patients from 12 locations, providing medical, dental, and mental health services to families and individuals of all ages. Throughout the federally-funded project, Kaplan managed local unions and open shop trades and employed a number of minority-owned businesses. The completed project was a huge success story for the project team, and received an Associated Builders and Contractors Merit Award, the American Hospital Association’s VISTA award, and an AIA Honor Award. The Kennedy CHC has since commissioned Kaplan to build additional projects including a recent 10,000 SF addition.
