As assistant estimator, Jacob Russell plays a key role in preconstruction and project development at Kaplan Construction. With seven years of industry experience, Jake brings a lifelong familiarity with the job site, having grown up visiting projects with his father, a civil engineer. That early exposure sparked his interest in construction and ultimately led him to pursue a career in estimating.
Jake specializes in estimating and architectural scope analysis, performing detailed takeoffs, conducting cost analyses, and reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. Known for his problem-solving skills, confidence, and forward-thinking approach, he works proactively to anticipate challenges and identify opportunities for value.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and has earned both his OSHA 30 certification and Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT®) credential.
