Tom Pontes started as a laborer at Kaplan Construction over 30 years ago, and worked his way up into his current role as superintendent. Responsible for managing daily construction activities, supervising subcontractors, collaborating with architects on plans, and ensuring site safety, Tom delivers reliable and high quality results.
Tom’s extensive experience as a member of Kaplan’s “work family,” coupled with his longstanding relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, enable him to consistently exceed client expectations. He also relies on his keen sense of humor to enliven every project. While he is experienced in a wide range of industries, Tom has developed a focus on houses of worship and healthcare facilities.
He is actively involved in his community of Fall River, Mass. as a member of the building and organizing committee for the city’s annual Kids’ World Festival.
Tom completed Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Site Technician Program, holds a Construction Supervisors License (MA CSL), and is OSHA certified.
